Into the Cold - need tips for running in cold weather

This has been an interesting year for me. This is my 1st year of competitive running. I completed my 1st sprint triathlon, 1/2 marathon and full marathon. I had a great coach who created a training marathon program which I enjoyed doing during the warm summer nights. My goal, which I did achieve, was to qualify for Boston.
Now its Dec 14th and its 26 degrees outside, and it gets dark at 4:00pm.  I am starting to begin training again at the end of December for Boston, but I am concerned about in the cold weather.  I just invested in running gloves, hat, some under armor shirt and tights.  I’m worried about running around town in tights.  If anybody has some suggestions it would be greatly appreciated or an article to read.  Thanks
